Your voice sounds like your narrator 😂
I have the windows version the keyboard. After 4 years, the only problem I have is double key presses.
i use razer huntsman elite, and im kinda in love with the keyboard. I probably own about 12 to 15 mechanical keyboards at this moment, and this new Razer is really sweet and i enjoy using it. However I actually tried this blackwidow SHITCRAPANUS after i bought the Huntsman Elite. This is all true, the guy is not making this stuff up. It is complete anus.
Well 11yo me dodged a bullet with not buying this shitshow of a "keyboard"
Honestly, Razer as a brand has plenty of potential, but they just fail on pretty much every level. Their headphones are subpar for the money, their keyboards are aesthetically pleasing, but their quality (as a person who has tested the Blackwidow v2) isn't so great. A few of their mice are fine, but most of them are ugly and just plain overpriced compared to the likes of Logitech, Steelseries, Cooler Master, literally any brand that isn't Omen or Alienware that I can think of. I use an Abyssus Essential and I'll freely admit I was sold mainly on the underglow, which was something I hadn't seen in peripherals before, but, surprise, surprise, it performs no better than my old wireless Logitech M165, which is to say, not terribly, just not what I expected from a brand with such recognition.
And RGB mousepads. Thank you, but no.
low durability? I've had this keyboard for literally 6 years and its as good as when i bought it
I have the 2013 elite version which still has the proper layout and blue switches
I didn’t experience many of the issues he mentions.. except for the hanging. The hanging was a major issue. WASD kept getting stuck. Returned it within a week.
I'ma be real, i got one of these keyboards 3 years ago for 30$ off ebay used, typing this comment on it as we speak. Although I enjoy the colorful diction used to shit on products on this channel, I don't exactly understand the harshness of every 'keyboard enthusiast' on lower spec gear. You always claim a good rubber dome is nice, but shit on cherry mx. Sure, they're consumer grade but it feels as if you take credit away because its all us 'normies' know in the keyboarding world. Maybe its a case of hypersensitivity to products, where you over analyze everything which to be fair happens with a lot of hobbies, but shitting on decent boards too much doesn't help consumers watching your videos. Synapse is slow(?) for macros, sure maybe (its not like you'll be making all that many). Yeah its unfortunate and stupid that you have to sign up. But rather than all your bitching about synapse in your plethora of razer reviews, you fail to recognize that you still get the macros without fail. It works, and isn't nearly as hell-inducing as you lead people to believe. 'Slight inconvenience' in your language comes out as an ear-rape 'wanktastic bullshit'. It sorta reminds me of how Taehya types viewers will literally shit on the threads of screws holding a pre-made keyboard together, albeit not as severe. At the very least calling this a 'review / rant' should most definitely be on the 'rant / review' side of things.
The firmware and software on these keyboards is a doozy
Thomas, what about a TOP X of best and worse key caps or key cap fonts? This keyboard seems a contender 🙂 My UHK unfortunately might be one too, font's almost gone 🙁
You can use a temporary email thing to register razer synapse account, no fucking way i give them my email so they could fucking spam me all over.
i'm actually using this keyboard daily since 2014, it still goes really strong, nothing wrong with the keycaps neither with the switches really suprised to see it cuz im using it for atleast 3h+ daily if not 12h+ some days
(tho i've bought everything for a semi custom keyboard currently shipping!)
love the rant!
The reason why he's fucked up is because of the mac layout
His voice sounds like wesker😂
Edit: if u dont care about the info and just sound the sound test is at 13:48
the windows version is definitely better, used it for 5 years before i got sick of the weird keypresses and got an anne pro 2. never had technical issues and i played starcraft 2 and league, using camera controls with my F keys and no issue whatsoever. Font is too gamer-y.
Tbh the keyboards arent really that bad, its just that for the price you can actually get something way better than that. However razer's mouse and mouse mats are some of the best right now and back then as well. Im not gonna sit here and pretend razer's products are the best eventhough my whole peripherals are from razer. I just feel that their keyboards arent as responsive 2 years after you own them and use them. They dont feel so snappy and if u play games like brawlhalla whcih i have key bindings on them i always feel that i have to adjust how i hit the keys almost a 0.2 seconds earlier than you're supposed to. However, their mouse and mouse mats are the most consistent products from them by far, i have their mouse mats for 4 years now and it hasnt frail or even lose its consistency. I have a deathadder chroma from 2014 and that thing held up like a champ, even with my constant rage and hitting the left click really hard. And finally it broke the switch didnt break but its the shell of the deathadder that has a little stem sticking out broke inside and is unable to hit the left switch. Now speaking of broken mouse, i recently gotten the razer mamaba elite which i've always wanted but razer always put in the laser sensor and many reviewers states that is unreliable, which is probably true. But the quality of the plastic that razer have use on their mouse has improve way more comparing to what they weer using back in 2014 which felt cheap and always gives u a feeling that u might break it within 2 years but thats nvr been the case. Razer's products arent trash, is just the value of the product doesnt match with the price tag.
i have one of this, and i still use it now at days, i have zero complains xD
trash typing
Bruh, not like this

I feel like he was pretty unfair with his review, I've had this board in the windows version for a bit over 5 year now (Yes, I was 13 and thought razer was the coolest thing) used my savings to buy it new for about 90 bucks at the time. The board had moderate use since then, the keycaps never faild and most of the problems he mentions are simply not present on my verion. Yet after all this years I do have my fair share of complaines and resons that tempt me to buy a new board, my gamery taste for peripherals is long gonne, the clickynes is getteing very annoying and I would like backlighting for the secondary functions (not in bright green preferably). Guess I have to see how much more can I push it before all the swtches explode, acording to these reveiw they have lived 258 weeks more than the board he got.
I have the 2016 model of this keyboard. It works fine for me. Some of your complaints about the design have been fixed on this version. However, I am sure you wouldn't find it much better as it still uses green switches, I don't think you can program macros without the software, and the font on the keys is still that weird gamery font. However, I haven't had many problems with mine though as I do not use macros. I did have to install the software on one computer to set the backlight to static instead of breathing as I prefer static. However, it stores in the memory and you can uninstall the software and keep the lighting profile afterwards. The only other problem I have had with it is I had to replug it once because the T key wasn't working correctly one day not that long ago. I have had it for roughly a year now.
Looks like many people hate razer because of one keyboard from 2014
Surely holding a key actuated with a toothpick isn’t good for the keyboard? It is a piece of junk tho
I did really like the typing sound and the speed that you typed on it. Not that it matters if it doesn't actually produce characters, but hey…
This key board is a Chinese knock-off I have one shity keyboard that "4" and "y" once stoped working I unplugged it and plugged it back in it works….what aim saying this Razer's keyboard can't survive a Chinese keyboard in durability….and I bought keyboard for 7€….
Ok. But I've had a Razer blackwidow chroma v2 for over 2 years with Razer oranges. I use it almost twelve hours a day, because my job is in film editing. I stand by it. I have spilled things on it, dropped it, dropped things on it, and it still works incredibly well. People are allowed to not like the way the keys feel, but the newer Razer keyboards are incredible.
But that's my opinion take it with a grain of salt.
I have this keyboard in 2020 and im using it to write this comment
"Embodyment of retardation" lmao, you da king mate 🙂
quick question, do you remember what you typed for this video, I'm curious, as I want to hear more of you swearing XD
When you get it for 60 USD
